Chef Thomas Keller serves as brand ambassador for Hestan Commercial and Hestan Outdoor. His insight and inspiration were also invaluable in the development and design of Hestan Commercial and Hestan Outdoor. Chef Keller’s spectacularly renovated French Laundry kitchen features a custom Hestan lineup. This collaboration continues to drive new innovation inspired by Chef Keller’s kitchens.
BOCUSE d’Or TEAM USA
Hestan Commercial is a proud sponsor of Bocuse d’Or Team USA. They brought home the gold from Bocuse d’Or 2017 – the first time for the Americans in the history of this event known as “the culinary Olympics.” As President of Team USA, Chef Thomas Keller provided crucial culinary guidance to Chef Mathew Peters and Commis Harrison Turone. Chef Philip Tessier, Hestan’s Smart Cooking Director, won silver in 2015 and coached Team USA 2017. To prepare themselves, the team trained for months in the Hestan Barn. Peters and Turone refined their techniques, recipes and prep choreography within a custom Hestan Commercial training kitchen built to the dimensions of the Bocuse cooking space. When they reached the boisterous competition kitchen in Lyon, France, they were in top culinary form. Congratulations, Team USA. Your cuisine and passion deserve this historic honor.
The Culinary Institute
The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) is equipping its campuses with Hestan Commercial. This partnership is especially meaningful to us, as many of the renowned chefs who helped inform the design of Hestan Commercial studied at the CIA. We are excited that today’s aspiring chefs will rely on the powerful precision of Hestan as they perfect their sauces and soufflés.
