The National Restaurant Association recently awarded Hestan with two significant Kitchen Innovations Awards. We have been recognized for key designs of our Tri-Ferrous French Top with Maximum Center Temperature & Gradient, and our Longitudinal Modular Salamander/Cheesemelter/Shelving System.

Longitudinal Modular Salamander/Cheesemelter/Shelving System

Hung without permanent hardware by means of unique, hook-like brackets of heavy-duty steel for optimum rigidity and durability, this modular shelving and broiler system, the latter easily switched from salamander to cheese melter and back again, is supported longitudinally on a riser to allow complete horizontal movement, giving it the flexibility to be placed anywhere on the line for maximum functionality.

Tri-Ferrous French Top with Maximum Center Temperature & Gradient

French Top_main copyAvailable in 18-, 24-, and 36-in. widths, this French Top features a thick-gauge, fully-welded stainless steel radiant cone around its 35,000-Btu/hour gas burner to trap and focus radiant and convective heat within a controlled space below the center plate, resulting in 1000 degrees at the center to as low as 320 degrees at the edges, the highest temperature delta of any French Top.

The NRA is the largest foodservice trade association in the world and its Kitchen Innovations Awards program has for over 10 years, “recognized and celebrated cutting-edge equipment and technology that specifically improve the back of the house and benefit foodservice operators.” We will be one of the 23 selected winners to be showcased at the interactive Kitchen Innovations Pavilion at the 2015 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show®, held May 16-19 in Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center.

We are also proud to announce that in February, Chef Thomas Keller signed on as spokesperson of the Hestan Commercial Corporation Appliances Division. He was drawn to partner with us because of his ardent support of American-based manufacturers and entrepreneurs. Keller provides valuable input and feedback to the design process. “The importance of good design is functionality, but also in how something pleases the eye. Hestan’s French Top feature delivers on both; it performs beautifully and accurately, and with its clean lines, it harkens back to my early days cooking in France,” says Keller. “Ultimately the guest experience is elevated as well because it allows for consistent excellence in preparations.”

In addition, Jackson-based Ramey Agency, our lead creative agency, received three Gold ADDY® Awards from AAF Jackson, central Mississippi’s chapter of the American Advertising Federation, for their conceptualization of our website, print ad and full print ad campaign. The Addy Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local AAF Club (Ad Club) competitions.
